What is the Only Good Thing About Winter to a Baseball Fan?
An old friend and avid baseball fan had asked me this question on a cold winter snowy day. I sat there and thought about it for a minute. There was absolutely nothing great about winter. I hate the snow, the cold, and not having any baseball. So after a few minutes, I finally gave up and said “What is the only good thing about winter.”
He looked at me and said, “Spring is only right around the corner and it’s 21 days before pitchers and catchers report for spring training.”
I looked at him and a big smile came across my face. He was right and now I love the winter, for the only fact spring is right around the corner. It is a beautiful thought to know the start to another great season is just around the corner. The best sport in the world begins spring training.
