Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre Has a Shot at the Hall of Fame

He has only had two Hall of Fame caliber seasons, but now that he joins a stellar Rangers lineup while playing half of his games in a hitter-friendly ballpark, Adrian Beltre’s career path could lead him to the Hall of Fame. Just take a look at the statistics. Michael Young has no shot at the Hall of Fame, but the question now is whether he should be a DH. Also, some fans are wondering if he’s be an upgrade in a trade. The numbers tell us that away from Rangers Ballpark, Young is a very ordinary hitter. Finally, we give some love to Hall of Famers Roberto Alomar and Bert Blyleven. Alomar was a genius with the glove who also hit .300. Blyleven was a strikeout artist who had durability and a dominant track record in the post-season. Both players will find themselves at home in Cooperstown. For more in depth baseball statistics and sabermetrics get the Bloomberg Sports Front Office Tool at BloombergSports.com.
